My First Post

Well, I've been thinking about starting a blog for a long time now.  And this morning I just decided to jump on in with both feet.
Here is a card that I made for my Nite O' Fun stampers.  The card base is Pear Pizzazz.  The fun effect of the candles is created by adhering the candle and flame shapes to the Peach Parfait layer and then running the whole thing through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  Isn't that fun looking?  I added a gathered piece of Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding and the sentiment from Bring on the Cake to finish it off.  Want to know where I got the candles and flame from?  The candles are the Extra Large Tag Punch cut in half.  The flames are one of the small fat leaves from the new Blossoms Petal Punch.  Now you have another reason to buy that punch, right?

  4. Connie...I love this technique! Gotta try it. Your recent email inquiry was sent to my "junk" folder automatically. When I clicked on it to respond to your questions about the card on my blog, it disappeared! So I lost your email address.

To answer your question...I just created in Word. I drew text boxes where I wanted them. It takes two pages--one for the front and one for the inside. I draw lines to divide my pages into quadrants to help me visualize where the text boxes need to go. Then I print on a piece of printer paper and adjust until it's where I want it. Then I insert my cardstock (Very Vanilla) in this case, and run the first page. I just run the sheets back through a second time to print the reverse side. Email me again if you have further questions:

Glad it will work for what you need. Now I'm going to go play with YOUR technique. Love it. Adorable card.
